I know that in fashion time I should be posting pictures of spring dresses and straw boaters but screw fashion time. I live in Scotland and I'll have to dress like this until we get our two weeks of summer in July.

I absolutely love this post, and all the historical references throughout your blog. I live in Scotland too, and am secretly quite pleased by the all but year-round necessity for coats and black opaques. I find that they compliment spring/summer clothes rather nicely.

Love love love this post, especially the pictures of Kate. I'm having a wardrobe crisis at the moment and have been buying nothing but wool garments this season. I was thinking over the weather today and I stupidly asked my housemate yesterday 'Do you think its still glove weather?' If I dressed anything like this, I'd be happy for the cold snap to continue (minus the bloody snow!)

I couldn't agree more about not wanting to see a dirth of floral dresses and strappy sandles when I'm still shuddering in torrential freezing rain and minus degrees! Spring is a (depressingly) long way off so why can't we celebrate being snuggly, warm and hiding our pale skin for a bit longer!

This is such a gorgeous post, all the images are lovely x

Ps this is Bee likeaskeletonkey.com, but you dont have a name/URL option on the comments so having to use my prehistoric google account :]

I'm glad you all feel the same! I hate how the focus shifts to spring so quickly after Christmas is over when we have months of cold weather ahead of us. I think the internet makes fashion move too fast - I feel 'over' one season before it's even started.

Have you ever read "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon? AMAZING book set it Scotland. This post makes me want to read it again!

I love this! My mum moved to the Highlands about 8 years ago and I'm in love.
:)

p.s. I will still be wearing big chunky cardigans in summer. One of the perks of always being cold :)
