The BBC showed this great documentary on Country Life's 'girls in pearls' as part of their Wonderland series. Ostensibly it was a 'where are they now' of high society engagements but it was one of those shows that manages to reach further than its abstract. Anyway, it pretty much ticked all my boxes and you can probably see why.

i'll need to check that programme out. on a sidenote, there was a news segment on the tv the other day there about bute (can't remember the subject) and they interviewed locals, lolololol - except they interviewed them outside in the pissing rain - everyone was totally drenched! was hilarious. (probably not even slightly amusing to read though!?) just so typically scottish haha xx

I LOVED this documentary. Some parts of it were so sad though. Ticked all my boxes as well.
